Andrew Ruff

Andrew’s experience spans the spectrum of business models including service-oriented companies, distribution, life science, technology, manufacturers and non-profits.  Andrew’s professional efforts have been publicly recognized many times over to include being named San Diego’s Accounting Advisor of the Year in 2016 by BNY Mellon, a Finalist for the San Diego Business Journal CFO of the Year and having led numerous client companies to San Diego’s Fastest Growing Companies and Best Places to Work listings.  He brings a well of experience to the team with expertise ranging from accounting department operations to equity & debt financing transactions. 


Prior to joining the team, Andrew started his professional career as Controller and Budget Officer in the Marine Corps with responsibility for annual operating budgets in excess of $125 million per year. Building off that experience, Andrew cofounded and grew an outsourced accounting service business into a national recognized managerial accounting service firm.  He received his B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy where he graduated second in command of the Brigade of Midshipmen. He is a recipient of two Navy Commendation Medals, and holds the following professional designations: QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, an Accredited Investor Fiduciary (AIF), Life, Health and Property & Casualty insurance licenses (not active) in California and Series 7/65 (not active).  Andrew has also earned a Professional Certificate in Accounting from the University of California, San Diego.
